Club Facilities

The yacht club is situated on the Northern side of the President Jetty at the north-western end of Saldanha Bay.

All Club facilities are available to visitors at the following charges:

Foreign yachts: first 10 days will be free
Temporary or visiting mooring fees:
R20 per day plus R5 for each crew member, to recover gas and electricity costs.

Allocation of moorings will be by the mooring manager only. The yacht club does not impose a time limit, but note that Portnet fees are applicable after 30 days. No permanent live aboards are allowed. A slipping cradle is available at a charge of R24/m per period, being either Saturday/Sunday or Monday to Friday with sufficient flexibility to allow for tides. Maximum weight is 8 toms. Slipping is at the owner's own risk.

Gas, paraffin and food supplies are all available in the town approximately 1 km from the Club. Diesel is available at the fishing jetty, water and electricity (220v) are available on the fixed jetty.

General Information

Facilities available locally include : inboard and outboard engine repairs; electronic repairs; post office; banks; supermarkets; restaurants; hotels; guest farms; general marine dealer; email collection point. The yacht Club does not have a ferry service.
