Club Facilities

Port Owen Yacht Club has a fully equipped yacht club and ablution facility. Please ask the Secretary for a set of keys to the Clubhouse. There is fresh water and 220v electricity available on the jetties. Braai facilities for small and large parties are next to the Yacht Club. The club is open on Friday and Saturday evenings or special occasions. Last but not least the Marina is safe for swimming if you feel the need to "cool off".

There are several moorings available and the rate for visiting yachts is R35,00 per day regardless of size. Foreign craft are offered one week of free mooring. For long term rates contact the Marina Office.

A public telephone is available at the Yacht Club and in the Marina Reception Office. Cellphone reception is good.

General Information
Banks, supermarkets, cafe's, hardware stores and a Police Station are located within 1 km from the Marina, in the villages of Velddrif and Laaiplek.
